Volunteering

Bright road

Here in the South Hams, there are hundreds of ways to get involved in your community. Local volunteers help people in need, improve the environment, campaign for good causes, run fun events, create art projects, sit on trustee boards and much more.

Find the right opportunity for you

South Hams Community Action are holding drop-in sessions at your library to promote local volunteering opportunities and to offer support and advice to community groups. Volunteers can fill a wide range of useful roles from befriending, gardening and administration to driving, fundraising and media work.
